Emergency Care

If you are experiencing a life-threatening medical situation (including mental health emergencies), call 911 immediately. Emergency care services treat life-threatening medical issues, such as threats to your life, limbs, sight, or safety.

Urgent Care

If it’s after hours or you’re not sure if you need to see a doctor, contact the TRICARE Nurse Advice Line to speak to a registered nurse. Call 1-800-TRICARE (874-2273) — Option 1 or Visit MHSNurseAdviceLine.com for web chat and video chat to talk to a registered nurse who can:

  • Answer your urgent care questions
  • Give you health care advice
  • Help you find a doctor
  • Schedule next-day appointments at military hospitals and clinics
  • Enter referrals for TRICARE Prime enrolled active duty service members when care is not available at the MTF
