Laboratory

The Clinical Laboratory provides hematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, urinalysis, and microbiology testing. Tests not accomplished in-house are referred out to other military and civilian facilities for testing. Test requests for patients are entered electronically by the provider, or by the laboratory staff based on written orders signed by a provider. Patients are instructed to report to the laboratory for specimen collection or to set an appointment for collection of those samples requiring patient preparation. The laboratory does not provide results directly to patients over the phone; please contact the ordering provider for results. The clinical laboratory also supports the fight against cancer as a C.W. Bill Young/Department of Defense National Marrow Donor Registration Site.
