Family Medicine Residency Clinic
Schedule an appointment by calling the appointment line at 402-232-CARE. Choose option 1. You can also make an appointment through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
- Click “View Patient Information/PCM” to find out who your primary care manager is.
- Choose the Air Force Medicine Offutt Family Medicine Residency clinic.
- Look for appointment times with your PCM or a member of their team.
Checking In
Check-in at the Central Check-In desk inside the main entrance before going to your clinic visit. Children ages 10 and older must show a military or government-issued ID card when getting care at the clinic.
Walk-In Services
Walk-in services are for non-urgent concerns. You’ll see a nurse or medical tech. Walk-in hours are:
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to noon
- Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. to noon
You can use the walk-in option for the following services:
- Pregnancy testing
- You must have a positive home pregnancy test or be at least 5 days late for your period.
- You must be a women age 19 or older.
- Walk-in pregnancy tests only give positive or negative results. They don’t measure your blood level.
- Routine medication injections
- Depo-Provera, B12, testosterone, etc.
- Sexually Transmitted Infection / Sexually Transmitted Disease Screening
- Strep testing
- The clinic will give you a test if you have a sore throat as the main symptom for five days or less.
- Suture or staple removal
- Dressing changes
- Urinary tract infection symptoms in females ages 18-64
- If you have back, side, or flank pain, book an appointment with your provider.
- Male patients need to make an appointment.
- Blood Pressure Check
- Wart treatments
- You need to see your provider first and have a plan of care.
MHS GENESIS Patient Portal
- Messaging The MHS GENESIS Patient Portal is the best way to reach your health care team for non-urgent concerns, referral requests, and other questions that don’t require an appointment.
- Patient portal access Your access depends on credentials managed by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC). Parents and guardians have full online access to Protected Health Information for dependents ages 12 and under. Parents can see limited information on the patient portal for children ages 13-17. Parents can view appointments, access messaging, and see immunization and allergy information.
- Prescription Renewals (no refills remaining) You can request renewals through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal:
- Click on “Health Record”
- Click on “Medications”
- Submit a request to Offutt Family Medicine Residency_(PCM Name).
- Please submit requests when you have at least 10-14 days of your maintenance medication left.
- Prescription Refills You can request medication refills on the patient portal. Look for the “Rx Refills” tab and choose whether you want to pick up your medications at the Satellite Pharmacy or through the ScriptCenter.
Annual Periodic Health Assessment Requirements
Your PHA is due every 12 months. Visit My IMR and fill out your Periodic Health Assessment Questionnaire. You can make a combined Mental Health Assessment and Periodic Health Assessment virtual appointment. Call the Virtual Medical Center Virtual Appointment Management Office. Their phone number is 844-863-3236. You can’t use this option if you’re:
- On flight status
- On Arming and Use of Force Status
- On Personnel Reliability Assurance Program Status
- Deploying within the next 30 days
Their hours are Monday-Friday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Central Standard Time.
Well-Child Visits
The recommended ages for well-child visits are:
- Newborn visit at 2 days (Scheduled by clinic staff)
- 2 weeks (Scheduled by clinic staff)
- 2 months
- 4 months
- 6 months
- 9 months
- 12 months
- 15 months
- 18 months
- 2 years
- 3 years
- 4 years
The clinic also does school physicals for children:
- Entering Kindergarten or 7th grade
- Who are new to their district
Sports physicals (may be covered by recent annual physical)
