Flight and Operational Medicine 

You can make a primary care appointment through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.  Choose the Air Force Medicine Offutt Flight Medicine Clinic. Click “View Patient Information/PCM” to see who your primary care manager is. 

Return-to-fly Clearance

We do return-to-fly clearances through virtual appointments. Call 402-232-2273 and choose option 1 to make an appointment.

Annual Periodic Health Assessments

Your PHA is due every 12 months. Visit the My IMR site and fill out your Periodic Health Assessment Questionnaire. After you have finished the PHAQ, call the appointment line at 402-232-2273. Choose option 1 to make an audiogram and in-person Fly PHA appointment.

Check-in at the Central Check-In desk located inside the main entrance before going to your clinic visit.

Walk-in Services

Walk-in visits are for non-urgent concerns. You’ll see a nurse or medical tech. Walk-in hours are:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
8 a.m. to noon

Wednesday
Noon-4 p.m.

You can use the walk-in option for the following services:
  • Blood pressure checks
    • They must be directed by your provider.
  • Pregnancy testing
    • You must have a positive home pregnancy test or be more than one week late for your period.
    • You can’t get more than one walk-in pregnancy test in seven days.
    • Walk-in pregnancy tests only give positive or negative results. They don’t measure your blood level.
  • Routine medication injections
    • Depo-Provera, B12, testosterone, etc.
  • Strep testing
    • The clinic will give you a test if you have a sore throat as the main symptom for five days or less.
  • Suture or staple removal
  • Dressing changes
  • Urinary tract infection symptoms in females ages 18-64
    • If you have back, side, or flank pain, book an appointment with your provider.
    • Male patients need to make an appointment.
  • Wart treatments
    • You need to see your provider first and have a plan of care.
Active duty patients can go to the Walk-In Contraceptive Care Clinic. The clinic is open every Thursday from 8-9 a.m. in the Women’s Health Clinic.

Emergency Room and Urgent Care Clinic Visits

Active duty service members must get a referral before going to an urgent care clinic. If you need to go to an urgent care clinic after hours, call the MHS Nurse Advice Line at 1-800-874-2273 for authorization.

Use the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal to contact your Flight Medicine Clinic team after you visit an emergency room or urgent care clinic.

Other Information

  • Aerospace Physiology does Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device Testing. This test was previously called the altitude chamber test. Call 402-294-4400 to learn more.
  • We can’t do Federal Aviation Administration physicals at this clinic. A FAA-designated Aviation Medical Examiner must see you. To find a local Aviation Medical Examiner in the Omaha or Council Bluffs area:
