Pharmacy
Main Pharmacy
Effective July 8, 2024, the clinic pharmacy will be closed until further notice due to staffing constraints. Active duty service members needing deployment or mission-related medications will pick them up at the main clinic pharmacy. All other prescriptions and refills will be processed at the Satellite BX Pharmacy.
Satellite Pharmacy
The satellite pharmacy processes all prescriptions. If you have a prescription from a TRICARE network or non-network doctor, you may fill it here, as long as it’s available on our Basic Core Formulary.
All new prescriptions MUST BE activated before they will be processed. Activation options include:
- Text “Get in line” to 833-338-1720 to use our text activation system, which will guide you through the process. You’ll need the DOD ID number (not Social Security Number) for each patient with prescriptions to activate, then choose the Offutt AFB Satellite Pharmacy.
- Visit the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal and send a new message to the Offutt BX Satellite Pharmacy (search for Offutt BX in the ‘To’ field).
- Visit the Satellite Pharmacy and check in to receive a ticket.
The
MHS GENESIS Patient Portal now offers prescription refill requests. Learn more at
https://tricare.mil/mhsgenesisrxrefills. Refills can also be requested through the telephone refill line at 402-294-4758. Refills not picked up after seven duty days are returned to stock. All prescription renewals with no refills remaining must be requested from the patient’s primary care manager.
ScriptCenter Kiosk
The Satellite Pharmacy also offers ScriptCenter kiosk pickup. This secure, convenient, and private way allows you to pick up non-refrigerated prescriptions during BX operating hours, even if the Satellite Pharmacy is closed.
First, you need to complete a one-time enrollment at a ScriptCenter kiosk. To do this, scan your military ID card (Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID Card), enter your date of birth, and create a password and four-digit personal identification number. To pick up your medications the first time, you must have a current prescription number. Once you create an account, you can use your fingerprint, ID card, or password with your four-digit pin to unlock and get your medications. When refilling your prescription, select “ScriptCenter kiosk” as your pickup location.
Contact the pharmacy staff for more information about the ScriptCenter kiosk.
TRICARE Formulary
The TRICARE Formulary is a list of generic and brand-name prescription drugs covered by TRICARE. You can search the
TRICARE Formulary to:
- See how much it costs and where you can get it filled
- See if your prescription needs prior authorization
- Look up the medical necessity criteria
- Get the prior authorization and medical necessity forms for your prescription
Other Pharmacy Options
As a TRICARE beneficiary, you have other pharmacy options:
Special Drug Requests
Special Drug Requests are medications we don’t regularly carry on our formulary. Your PCM may enter a Special Drug Request directly through our computer system. Pharmacy staff will contact you with any questions and/or to notify you that your prescription is available for pick-up.
Prescriptions for Special Drug Requests from non-military or off-base providers must be submitted to your PCM for submission and review. The original paper prescription from the off-base provider must be delivered to the Satellite Pharmacy for validation, and if approved, the pharmacy staff will contact you when your prescription is available for pick-up at the Satellite Pharmacy.
Share your Satellite Pharmacy compliments, comments or concerns on our
Interactive Customer Evaluation application and let your voice be heard.
