Filling New Prescriptions

We fill prescriptions from both military and civilian providers.

Providers from Our Facility

Your provider may submit a prescription directly to the pharmacy during or after your appointment.

  • You can activate the prescription(s) and wait, or
  • You can come back later to pick them up.
  • Prescriptions placed by providers at 55 MDG will automatically activate. Patients can get in line once they see their name appear on the TV located between Windows 3 and 4.
  • If you need to activate a prescription more than 10 days after a provider prescribed it, you must:
    • Text “Get in line” to 833-338-1720
    • The system will send you to a web link to complete the process, requiring the beneficiary’s DOD ID number for each patient with prescriptions to activate
  • Use Q-Anywhere “Get-in-Line” text to activate if:
    • It’s been more than 10 days since doctor prescribed medication
    • Your prescription required a prior authorization that has now been completed and you need to activate

Civilian Providers

If you have prescriptions from a TRICARE-authorized civilian provider:

  • The provider can submit an electronic prescription to our pharmacy, or
  • You can hand-carry a written prescription to our pharmacy. Note: This is the least preferred option.

To submit an electronic prescription:
Ask your provider to select the:

  • Pharmacy name: DOD OFFUTT PHARMACY
  • NCPDP/NPI number: [1871909846]

If you hand-carry a written prescription:
Check in at the kiosk. Follow on-screen prompts to check in.

Activating New Prescriptions

There are multiple ways to activate your prescription.

Option 1: Fastest and Preferred

Option 2: In Person

Visit the Clinic Pharmacy and check in at the kiosk to activate with a pharmacy staff member.

  • Follow on-screen prompts to check in.
  • To get text updates, you’ll need to enter your cell phone number.

Option 3: Secure Messaging

  • Send a new prescription request to the pharmacy via secure messaging through the MHS GENESIS Patient Portal.
  • Create a new message to the Offutt Pharmacy by searching for “Offutt Pharmacy” in the “to” field.

If you can’t pick up your prescription within this timeframe, please contact the pharmacy. ScriptCenter

Location: 106 Meyer Ave., inside the Offutt Air Force Base Exchange. (Base access is required for access to this location.)

After-hours ScriptCenter medication locker pick-up is available during Offutt Base Exchange operating hours **

** See our Scheduled Closures page for training and holiday closures.

The Offutt Pharmacy offers ScriptCenter kiosk pickup. This secure, convenient, and private kiosk allows you to pick up prescriptions (not refrigerated) during BX operating hours, even if the Satellite Pharmacy is closed.

Follow these steps:

  • A one-time enrollment at a ScriptCenter kiosk. To do this, scan your military ID card (Common Access Card or Uniformed Services ID card), enter your date of birth, and create a password and four-digit personal identification number. This can be done after you request medications to be placed in the lockers.
  • To create an account, you can use your fingerprint, ID card, or password with your four-digit PIN to unlock and get your medications. It is recommended that you have current prescription number on your first time to the lockers.
  • If activating new prescriptions choose the medication locker option.
  • If refilling your prescription, select “ScriptCenter kiosk” as your pickup location from the refill phone prompts.

Certain items may not be available from the ScriptCenter, such as refrigerated medications, oversized items, and/or certain controlled substance prescriptions.
