Connect to the Pharmacy through Secure Messaging provider to send a message to the Pharmacy staff to activate your prescription. This service can also be used to check if your provider has entered a new prescription, verify receipt of electronic or faxed prescriptions sent from off-base providers to the Satellite Pharmacy, or see if certain medications are in stock. If you already have a Secure Messaging account, search for the "OFFUTT AFB PHARMACY-SATELLITE" provider and add for each family member.

Main Pharmacy

The main pharmacy fills prescriptions written by providers in the main clinic. Prescriptions are filled once patients check-in at the pharmacy kiosk. Once processed, the pharmacy will hold prescriptions for seven duty days before they are returned to stock. Walk-in prescription renewals are available Wednesday and Thursday, 2 to 4 p.m., in the Main Pharmacy. This service is for patients who have no refills remaining on daily maintenance medication and will run out before an appointment with their PCM. Refills are offered on maintenance medications that have been prescribed by a provider at the 55th Medical Group for longer than 60 days for chronic, long term conditions such as hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, high cholesterol and thyroid disorders. Oral contraceptives may be refilled if needed before next scheduled appointment. Controlled substances and pain management medications to include narcotics are not eligible for renewal at the walk-in clinic.

Satellite Pharmacy

The satellite pharmacy fills all prescription refill requests and all prescriptions, both handwritten and electronic, from off-base providers. Prescription refills will be available for pickup two duty days after request. Refills not picked up after seven duty days are returned to stock. The telephone refill system interacts directly with the pharmacy's computer system, giving the caller an immediate status on the refill request.

Prescriptions are easily refilled using the TRICARE Online Patient Portal. You can also:

  • View all active prescriptions with current status
  • Quickly select multiple prescriptions for refill
  • Enter prescription numbers to request refills for family members
  • Receive email and/or text notifications when your request is submitted and when prescriptions are ready for pick-up

Mail Order Pharmacy: We encourage TRICARE members to utilize the MTF pharmacy services when available. The TRICARE mail order service ensures prompt delivery of medications to the member’s designated mailbox. Details are available at Express Scripts.

Special Drug Requests: Special Drug Requests are medications that we do not regularly carry on our Formulary. Your primary care manager may enter a Special Drug Request directly through our computer system. Pharmacy staff will contact you with any questions and/or to notify you that your prescription is available for pick-up. Prescriptions for Special Drug Requests from a non-military/off-base provider must be submitted to your PCM for submission and review. The original paper prescription from the off-base provider must be delivered to the Satellite Pharmacy for validation and if approved, the Pharmacy staff will contact you when your prescription is available for pick-up at the Satellite Pharmacy.
